You do not want to learn web design. You want the website looked after by someone who knows what they are doing, for a price you can plan around. In the UK that comes in three shapes, and the names used for them overlap, which is why the quotes you get are hard to compare.
Here is what each one is, what it tends to cost, and what to check before you pay.
Option one: a care plan on the platform you already have
A care plan is maintenance for a site you keep. Most are built around WordPress. The provider updates the software, takes backups, watches for security problems, and gives you a small allowance of changes each month, often 30 to 60 minutes. UK care plans run from about £50 to £300 a month depending on the site and the level of cover, according to Bark's UK cost guide (15 May 2025, the same source our own website's cost table uses), with agency guides such as Rubberduckers describing what the plans include (checked 10 October 2026).
The limit is in the name. A care plan cares for the site you have. It does not rebuild it, and a redesign, new features or an SEO campaign are usually quoted separately. If your site is on Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy, most care plans do not apply at all, because those platforms do their own updates.
Option two: a managed site from a small agency
Here the agency builds or hosts the site and charges a monthly fee that bundles hosting, backups, support and a set number of edits. Across the UK providers we checked on 10 October 2026, published standard prices for a managed small-business site run from about £29 to £99 a month (for example WebPulseLab, HungryWolf and Smart Web Agency; most pages do not say whether VAT is included, so ask).
This is closer to what most owners mean by "run it for me". Two things vary a lot between providers: what counts as a small edit, and who owns the site if you leave. Both are worth getting in writing.
Option three: rebuilt and run as one service
The third shape is newer. The provider rebuilds your site on their own platform, hosts it, and then keeps improving it on a fixed cycle, without you raising tickets.
That is what our One Site plan does: we rebuild your website on our platform and host it. Every fortnight we check how you show on Google and whether AI assistants name you. We fix the technical things ourselves and tell you. Anything your visitors can see waits for your approval. New pages and posts come with a preview; a blog post you haven't looked at goes live on its own after 10 days. Before-and-after evidence for every change, and anything can be undone. One Site is £60 a month. The price you see is the price you pay. You own it all: the code, the content, the data. Handed over whenever you ask.
The honest limits: we rebuild your website on our platform and host it, rather than editing an existing WordPress, Wix or Squarespace site. One Site doesn't include an online shop, booking systems, email, your domain or paid ads. We don't replace a Shopify store or its checkout. Bigger projects are always quoted and agreed with you first.

What to check before you pay anyone
Whichever shape you choose, ask these before signing:
- Is hosting included, and is the price quoted with or without VAT?
- What counts as a small change, and what costs extra?
- Who owns the site, the domain and the files if you leave, and can you take them?
- What happens to the site if you stop paying?
- How often does anyone actually look at the site when you have not asked them to?
That last question is the one most plans cannot answer. A care plan waits for you. A managed site waits for your ticket. The point of being run for you is that the work happens whether you remember to ask or not.
We rebuild your website and run it for you: goaimysite.com/one-site.
Prices above are standard published prices, not introductory offers, checked on 10 October 2026; they change, so confirm on each provider's page, including whether VAT is included. A do-it-yourself builder alone is cheaper if you do the work yourself.
Rather someone did this for you?
With One Site we rebuild your website and run it for you: a review every fortnight, technical fixes done ourselves, and the content changes you approve.
